Plus North 2014.

Hello lovlies!
I feel a little nervous writing my first blog post. I may have been reading blogs for the past year or so but writing my own is a little scary!

Last weekend, I attended a plus size fashion event called Plus North.

My first ever plus size fashion event. And it was nothing short of amazing!

The excitement began the minute I boarded the train all suitcased and snacked up ready for a weekend in Leeds. The Saturday of Plus North was an array of plus size fashion brands showcasing some of their beautiful clothes. Amongst the brands were Simply Be, Yours Clothing  and Evans.
Each brand had models that walked the catwalk and can I say, they rocked that catwalk. It was amazing to see confident, plus size ladies walk that catwalk!

It was a fun filled afternoon where I met some of my favourite bloggers including Leah, Natalie, Sarah, and Vicky. My face hurt from smiling so much! Leah showed me the glorious pizza cookies that were available and they were amazing!

The outfit that I wore on the afternoon was this beautiful vintage style dress from a little boutique I found whilst in Leeds.

One Hundred Dollar Dress

I teamed it with my vintage clutch I found in a charity shop, Primark pumps and a Matalan cardi.
This dress is my One Hundred Dollars. I felt amazing from the compliments I recieved and it was lovely!

A few hours after the main event, there was an after party held at Baracoa. I met up with some of my new friends and it was lovely to sit back, relax and have a few drinks.

I ended up in a glorious ‘sticky floor goodness’ bar in which I purchased a tambourine! Fantastico!

For the after party, I wore a dress I picked up in the Primark sale last year for £5! The tartan top is a super soft cotton and the skirt is made of a faux leather which I never thought I’d suit until I bought this dress.
I teamed it with my New Look Inspire shrug a similar version can be found here and old patent leather shoes from Primark.

It was a fantastic day and without doubt I shall be attending Plus North 2015!
